Pre-Order Logic

When the Pre-Order is turned on for an item, the app will replace the Add to Cart button to "Pre-Order" whenever available stocks in the inventory runs out (0 available stocks).

Pre-Order Button Prerequisite and Logic

  1. In order for the Pre-Order button to show, there must be no available stocks in your inventory for this item:

  2. Whenever the Pre-Order is enabled via the Pre-Order Manager app, the Continue selling when out of stock will be automatically enabled in the Products page. Should you disable the Pre-Order via the app, this option will be automatically disable itself.

Enable Pre-Order for Individual Product

  1. At the Pre-Order Manager -> Products page:

    Activate Pre-Order for the specific product. The status must show "Pre-order active". Please refer to this article to learn more about what each statuses mean.

Bulk Enable Pre-Order for Multiple Products

  1. Select the products that you wish to enable the Pre-Order functionality:

  2. Click on ON at the Pre-Order field (selecting OFF will bulk disable the Pre-Order):

  3. This will enable Pre-Order for all the selected products.

  4. If you wish to enable Pre-Order for ALL products, tick on Select All checkbox

    and proceed to select the Select all <NUMBER>+ items from your store button to select the products for the whole store. If you have a huge store with thousands of items, it will take 20 to 50 seconds for it to load:

    Select the ON button to enable this process:

    A pop-up notification notifying you the total number of products/variants that will be affected will be shown and you are required to confirm this process by selecting Enable Pre-order button.

    A progress bar will then show the progress of this process:

Commonly Made Mistakes

  • Sometimes the Pre-Order button fails to display because the pre-order product because the product has a Custom Settings enabled. To know if such settings are enabled for the product, the Settings button will be displayed as Custom Settings instead of Default Settings.

    Here are a few scenarios where the Pre-Order button will not be displayed due to the enabling of the Custom Settings

    • The Pre-order quantity limit reached. If that is the case, click on the Custom Settings button to configure the quantity limits

    • An existing Pre-Order schedule had been set for the product/variant. To check if a period had been set, you can go to the Edit Settings button and configure the "Pre-order is active" field:

  • There are still items in stock at your store. In order to use the Pre-Order feature, please ensure the quantity is less than or equal to zero.

  • Check if the pre-order is enabled for your location.
    Under Settings > App Settings, you may check if the Pre-Order is geographically specific:
